Hand made by James C. Patterson using a variety of woods including varying combinations of Nara, Lacewood, Osage, Maple, Ipe, Padauk, Yellow Heart, Marble wood, Bloodwood, Cloud Maple and Rosewood.

The lid is not attached and is fitted into the box for stablility unless noted that the box is hinged.

James Patterson has worked with his hands all his life. His designs are shaped by a keen eye for detail developed through a lifelong interest in nature, photography and woodwork. He has always had a fascination with the endless play of pattern, colour and light that run through our world. Embracing new challenges in his retirement has allowed him the time to experiment with joining together different types of wood and design possibilities.

He enjoys the opportunity to hone his craft and express himself artistically, making each project unique. These small boxes are made from locally purchased ethically sourced woods, and finished with natural non toxic oils and waxes.
