Burnt Curve Designs is made up of Kylie and Don Read and David Bernard. Trained in art and graphic design, Kylie is the designer and face behind the brand. David operates the laser cutter and adds his knowledge of engineering to streamline the products. Don assists with all the 'odd-jobs' of the business, such as painting and assembly.

All three members are proud to live on Vancouver Island and the jewellery designs are inspired by life on the west coast. Geometric shapes and negative spaces represent elements of local nature in a clean, classic and wearable way. 

Burnt Curve Designs was named for the smoky smell that laser cut wood gives off, evoking childhood memories of camping on the coastal beaches, roasting marshmallows in the back yard and summer bonfires at Esquimalt lagoon. 

The Burnt Curve team also enjoys the challenge of working with a client to create personalized art work. They have made family trees, one-of-a-kind jewellery, signs for businesses, customized Vancouver island maps, and many other unique items.
